Independent Contractors

Individuals working in the Marketing Department, (individuals participating in other departments may qualify), receive a substantial percentage of every dollar they raise for The Artivist Film Festival and Artivist Awards through sponsorship, marketing sales and fundraising. This is a profitable opportunity for individuals to earn income while raising funds for the production of “Artivist”. Individuals interested in interviewing for the Marketing & Fundraising Departments must have marketing, fundraising, sales experience and/or extensive contacts in the entertainment industry or corporate industry.Associate Producers (Internship)
& Volunteers

Interning or Volunteering with Artivist is an excellent opportunity to network, meet, work and connect with other activists, entertainment industry people, filmmakers, artists, celebrities, the media, learn hands-on production experience or begin a career with The Artivist Collective. Interns contribute a minimum of 20 hours per week, receive a $400 stipend at the completion of their 6-8 month internship, and are eligible for school / college credit.

Interns & Volunteers are a vital, crucial branch of every non-profit organization’s staff. Over 80 dedicated people interned or volunteered their time, efforts and services towards the successful creation of the 1st Annual Artivist Film Festival and The 2004 Artivist Awards during it 9 months of production. Through their invaluable efforts and participation, the Artivist Film Festival and The 2004 Artivist Awards were produced for a fraction of their original projected cost. For their contributions, 23 individuals were acknowledged as Associate Producers and 5 as Producers of the Festival and Awards.

NOTICE: The Artivist Collective is currently interviewing for the following Directors and for individuals (Associate Producers & Volunteers) to participate in the following departments:

Marketing Director – (Independent Contractors)
The Artivist Collective, a 501c3 non-profit organization, is interviewing prospective candidates for Marketing Director of the 2nd Annual Artivist Film Festival & The 2005 Artivist Awards. Director will be working from their own home office. Marketing Director will be managing the marketing department, securing sponsorship and in-kind goods for the Festival and Awards in April 2005. Candidate should have extensive contacts in the entertainment industry. Experience in marketing and sales are needed. To apply submit resume and cover letter BELOW:

Publicist – Director of Public Relations (6-8 month Internship. Paid $400 at the completion of Festival & Awards in April.)
The Artivist Collective is interviewing prospective candidates for Publicist – Director of Public Relations of the 2nd Annual Artivist Film Festival & The 2005 Artivist Awards. Director will be working from their home office, supervising the public relations department, submitting press releases, securing media sponsorship, affiliates and publicity, working with the press at the Festival and Awards, working with our filmmakers and celebrities. Candidate should have extensive contacts in the entertainment industry, activist community and have access to national media lists. To apply submit resume and cover letter BELOW:

Fundraising Director – (Independent Contractors)
The Artivist Collective, a 501c3 non-profit organization, is interviewing prospective candidates for the position of Fundraising Director. Volunteer Coordinator – (6-8 month Internship. Paid $400 at the completion of Festival & Awards in April)
The Artivist Collective is interviewing prospective candidates for the position of Volunteer Coordinator. Coordinator will be working from their home office, approx. 25 hrs per week. Candidate should have experience in volunteer coordination, human resources or general management. Volunteer Coordinator will be securing volunteers for each department and working closely with the Festival Director and Board of Directors.

Festival Director – (6-8 month Internship or Independent Contractor status. Paid $400 at the completion of Festival & Awards in April.)
The Artivist Collective is interviewing prospective candidates for the position of Festival Director. Director will be working from their home office, approx. 20-30 hrs per week. Candidate should have experience in production management, festival management or producing special events. Festival Director will be working closely with the Board of Directors and main staff of the Festival and Awards. To apply submit resume and cover letter BELOW:

Chief Editor – (6-8 month Internship. Paid $400 at the completion of Festival & Awards in April.)
The Artivist Collective is interviewing prospective candidates for the position of Chief Editor. Editor will be overseeing the production of the “Artivist” Magazine and Festival program. Music Manager / Producer – (Independent Contractor or Internship)
The Artivist Collective is interviewing prospective candidates for the position of Music Manager / Producer. Manager will be producing a benefit concert for the Artivist Film Festival and booking musical guests for the Festival & Awards Ceremony. Working approx. 20 hrs per week from home. Candidate should have a music industry background, extensive contacts, and some production experience.

The Artivist Collective is interviewing prospective candidates for its Art Department. Designers will be assisting with all of the graphic design needs of Artivist, including: “Artivist” Magazine, Festival program, press kit materials, etc. Working approx. 20 hrs per week from home. Candidate should have experience in design and layout.
